There is still time for local middle and high school students to participate in a statewide contest aimed at finding solutions to the drug crisis.
Talk to Your State Senator is a video competition sponsored by the PA Senate including local senators Scott Hutchinson and Don White. This contest also has support from members of the Drug and Alcohol Service Providers Association of PA.
Students in grades 6 through 12 are invited to submit video entries of no longer than five minutes containing ways to help those suffering from addiction through ideas for laws that combat opioid abuse. A total of $10,000 in money towards college savings accounts will be awarded to winners judged in the areas of creativity, content, and effectiveness of message delivery.
More information and registration forms can be found at acommonwealthcrisis.com. The deadline for video entries is December 10th.
