A local student will occupy a position of leadership in a large, statewide organization.
Butler Area High School senior Jillian Ranko has been selected to be the next President of the Pennsylvania 4-H State Council. She will represent the program at many events over the next year as well as plan state-level events and attend activities and meetings around the state.
Nearly 700 young people gathered at the 2020 Pennsylvania 4-H State Leadership Conference last month in State College to induct a new leadership team.
Ranko has been a member of 4-H in Butler County for the past seven years and was named the PA Alpaca Princess. She is the daughter of James and Jacqui Ranko of Butler. Her goal while on the council is to “spread awareness of 4-H events and opportunities to PA 4-H members and encourage them to try new project areas”.
