National Teacher Appreciation Week continues today as a local teacher is helping students develop an appreciation for art around Butler.
Butler Middle School Art teacher Holly Wilson will be leading students on Mural Walks throughout the day to view murals painted around the city during a visit by the Wall Dogs group to Butler in 2016.
Students will learn about the history of each subject or event featured on the murals as well as experience looking at art on a large scale.
Wilson participated in the Wall Dogs events and was one of the painters on the “Coopers Cabin” mural by Dunkin’ on Main Street.
