Three local students are receiving funds to help them pay for college thanks to the Armco Credit Union.
The annual scholarships are awarded through the Beaver Valley Chapter of Credit Unions.
Butler High School senior Payton Cornetti was the recipient of a $1,000 scholarship.
Alison Cammisa of Renfrew attends Waynesburg and Alison Thomas of Grove City College both took home $500 scholarships—which will go toward their work for an Elementary Education degree.
More than 50 students applied for the scholarship; a total of five were awarded.
