Local teams in PIAA Semifinals tonight

PIAA Playoffs:
–The Mars girls soccer team will face Moon tonight in the state Semifinal round. The match will be played at North Allegheny high school beginning at 6:30pm. The winner of tonight’s match will move on to the state title game Friday night. The Planets are the three-time defending state champions.
–The Seneca Valley boys soccer team will face Conestoga in the Class 4A Semifinals. The match will be played at Chambersburg high school and begins at 5pm.
–The Freeport girls volleyball team will meet Phillipsburg-Osceola in the state Semifinals tonight. The match will be played at Punxsutawney high school beginning at 7pm.
–North Catholic and Thomas Jefferson meet in the Class 3A Semifinals as part of a playoff doubleheader tonight at Fox Chapel high school. Their match begins at 8pm.
–Pine-Richland and North Allegheny meet in a rematch of the WPIAL 4A championship at 6pm.
The WPIAL has determined the location of the Freeport-Belle Vernon Class 3A football Semifinal on Friday. The game will be played at Gateway high school beginning at 7pm.
