A local university was recently recognized by the State System of Higher Education on their continued financial success.
Slippery Rock University was one of three institutions among the 14-university State System that was deemed to have financial performance that required little or no monitoring by the State System.
The financial ratings were independently compiled and assessed by the State System in each of the last four years to determine a school’s financial risk. Officials say that the ratings are a comprehensive measure of metrics based on market demand, financial performance, and operating efficiency.
Slippery Rock ranked second to West Chester this past year, but is the only institution to improve its rating for three straight years.
