The Slippery Rock University women’s track team won the PSAC Outdoor championship Saturday at Shippensburg. It marked the 15th time in the past 20 seasons that The Rock has been either first or second at the championships.
The Butler Boys Track & Field team won the Baldwin Invitational Friday. CJ Singleton took gold in the Mile Run with a time of 4:14.17., and won the 3200-meter-run in a time of 9:09.60. Guinness Brown won the 100-meter run in 10.80 seconds in his only event of the day. Tristan McGarrah was runner-up in the Pole Vault with a jump of 13′-4″.
Seneca Valley’s Tyler Yurich was the runner-up in the 100-meter run, followed by North Catholic’s Trevor Paschall. Paschall won the 200 and 400-meter runs. Grove City’s Gabe Nichols was runner-up in the mile run. Knoch’s Mike Formica was third in the 3200. Cody Daniels of Moniteau was runner-up in the High Jump.
Butler Boys Lacrosse team crushed Meadville 14-2 Friday.
