Lois A. Davanzati, age 88, of Butler, passed away peacefully on Mon., Nov. 28, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Born in Butler on March 20, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Louise Kirk McCrea.
Lois was part-owner of Signs By Rick, Inc. She previously worked as a secretary at Armco and as a telephone operator at Bell Telephone.
Lois was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church. She belonged to the parish’s Christian Mothers and Marian Guild, and she as served as an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist at nursing homes in the area. In addition, she was a member of Mary Queen of Franciscans Fraternity Secular Franciscan Order.
She especially enjoyed traveling on religious tours with fellow church members, and she was an animal lover.
She is survived by four sons, Rick Davanzati and his wife, Michelle “Mimi”, of Butler, Mark Davanzati and his wife, Stacy, of Butler, David Davanzati, of Louisville, Ky., and Mike Davanzati and his wife, Joyce, of Sarver; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Enrico S. “Rick” Davanzati, who passed away March 29, 2014; one son, James “Butch” Davanzati; one brother, Donald McCrea; and one grandson, Greg Davanzati.
Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Ave., Butler, on Thursday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 a.m. from Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 315 Stoney Hollow Rd., Cabot, with Rev. Ward Stakem, OFM Cap., officiating.
Burial will take place in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Butler.
