Lois J. Voelker, 84, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 13, 2019 at the Emergency Room of Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 17, 1934 in Butler, PA to the late Paul Plunkard and the late Elizabeth Van Buren Plunkard.
Lois worked for Voelker Paving as a Book Keeper. She was Presbyterian by Faith. Lois enjoyed volunteering, camping, playing cards and gardening. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Lois is survived by her two sons, Roger W. (Judy) Voelker of Butler, PA, Tim A. (Esther) Voelker of West Sunbury, PA; two daughters, Catherine E. Wright of Butler, PA, Sandra J (David) Meeder of Butler, PA; eight grandchildren, Amanda (Luke) Pollick, Ashlee (Joshua) Smochek, Scott Wright, Tia Wright, Max Voelker, Maggie Voelker, Kody (Madeline) Meeder, Dillon Meeder; four great-grandchildren, Tristan Pollick, Jackson Pollick, Ilanor Meeder, and Leondis Meeder; two sister-in-laws, Josephine Plunkard of Glenshaw, PA and Peg Brace of Canton, OH, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Voelker, who she married on September 8, 1951, and who passed away on May 16, 2006; three sisters and four brothers.
Friends will be received Sunday, February 17, 2019, 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 18, 2019, 1:30 pm at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 East North St. Butler, PA, with Rev. Robert S. Edmundson, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial may be made to the Donor’s Favorite Charity in memory of Lois J. Voelker.
