Lona A. “Betty” Wobb, 97, of Butler, PA, passed away on March 30, 2025, in the comfort of her home surrounded by family.
She was born on January 6, 1928, in Vienna VA, to the late Elmer and Ida (Biggs) Albrecht.
Betty worked for the Pentagon and the Naval Yard as a Secretary, a Typist, and a Clerk, until retiring in 1960, in order to focus on her growing family. She was also a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was also a member of the Church Choir. She was also a member of the Blazing Star Chorus, Concord Quilting Auxiliary, LCW, Teacher Children’s Hour, Meals on Wheels, and Katie’s Kitchen. Betty enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, crafting, conversing with her friends, as well as spending time with her loving family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Dave C. Wobb, whom she married on February 7, 1959; her two children; her five grandchildren; her five great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Betty Lou; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her two brothers, Calvin Albrecht and Dr. James Albrecht; as well as by her four sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Butler County Meals on Wheels, 218 East Jefferson Street, Butler, PA 16001.
Family and Friends will be received from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Butler, PA 16001.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Butler, PA 16001, with Pastor Joel Benson officiating.
A private Interment will take place at North Side Cemetery
