A longtime priest in the area and a Butler native has died.
Father James Dolan passed away this Sunday. He was the former pastor of both St. Michael the Archangel and St. Peter parishes in Butler.
Dolan was ordained into the priesthood in 1975 and served the Diocese of Pittsburgh until his retirement in 2020.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Geibel Funeral Home and once again from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday at St. Conrad’s. A funeral mass will then be held immediately afterwards.
Dolan was 73.
