A former longtime Butler business owner and community member has died.
Jim Hutchinson passed away at his home in Penn Township over the weekend.
He was the owner and operator of Hutchinson’s Cleaners and Dryers in the City’s Island neighborhood.
Before he began his career at the family-owned business, Hutchinson became the youngest person ever to win the Butler County Club Golf Championship at the age 17. He then golfed for four years at Notre Dame, before serving in the U.S. Navy.
Hutchinson would work in the family business for decades alongside his wife Peggy.
A service will be held for Hutchinson at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Sepulcher Church.
Hutchinson was 92.
