Louisa Ann Mauro, 95, of Canfield, Ohio, formerly of Butler, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Friday, May 2, 2025.
Born in Philadelphia on Feb. 6, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Iezzi.
While living in Butler, Louisa and her husband, the late Rudy Mauro, Sr., owned the former Point Drug Store.
She was a loving mother and homemaker who enjoyed travel and volunteering at the Carnegie Museum in Oakland, and she was always the most impeccably-dressed woman in any room!
She is survived by her children: Rudy Mauro and his wife, Theresa, of Harrison City, Pa., David Mauro, of Painesville, Ohio, Bill Mauro of Canfield, Ohio, and Barbara Betters, of Pittsburgh.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother: Bill Iezzi, of Philadelphia.
In addition to her parents, Louisa was predeceased by one brother, Joe Iezzi, and her sister, Teresa Williams.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 7, from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home, South Side, 429 Center Ave., Butler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday at All Saints Parish, St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Avenue, Butler, with Rev. Kevin C. Fazio officiating.
Burial will take place in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
