The public is invited to attend the grand reopening celebration of a local historical landmark.
The Butler County Historical Society has planned an event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday to welcome residents back to the Senator Walter Lowrie House.
The parlor, dining room, two bedrooms, and nursery of this West Diamond Street landmark will be staged to appear as they did in the late 1800s when the Sullivan/Shaw family called Butler home.
Tours are free and visitors are also welcome to take a closer look at a yard sale full of unique treasures.
