Our precious Dad, Loyal “Tom” Craig, of Butler, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2021.
He is now reunited with the love of his life, Ginny, and his precious grandson, Jacob, in the presence of their Lord and Savior where they are fully restored and whole.
He was a hero to his kids and his grandkids. He showed what a life of true character and integrity was.
He was the biggest fan and supporter of his grandchildren. Always sitting on the sideline at every game, ready to wrap them in his arms after, full of encouragement.
He was the wisest man that we knew. He always had advice and wisdom to share to help us to become the best version of ourselves that we could be.
He had the best sense of humor, always searching for an opportune time to crack a joke and make everyone else laugh. He brought joy to everyone who had the privilege of being around him.
He had the kindest heart that always sought to see the beauty in people and circumstances. He gave selflessly to his family, friends, and the charities that touched his heart.
He taught us what genuine love for others looked like through his devotion to Ginny and the rest of his family. He was the best dad in the world to his three kids. Love is what compelled him to act. And he set a beautiful example for the rest of us.
Born in Butler on December 10, 1944, he was a son of the late Loyal Clarence and Thelda Ruth Cotrill Craig.
He was a mason at AK Steel and also a realtor at Century 21 Real Estate.
He is survived by three children, Marci (Ray) West, of Butler, Melissa Herrit, of Butler, and Curtis (Alyson) Craig, of Clearwater, Fla.; four grandchildren, Dr. Raymond West, Cody West (Natalie), Jordin West, and Luke Herrit; one brother, Dave (Kathy) Craig of Butler; and in-laws, Marlene (Jack) Rook, of Steubenville, Ohio, Annette Phillips, of Butler, Mary Ann Phillips, of Butler, and Ed Leech, of Butler.
