Pennsylvania’s new Lieutenant Governor has begun his statewide listening tour to gather input from residents regarding the possibility of legalizing recreational marijuana.
John Fetterman’s first stop was in Harrisburg Monday night at the Jewish Federation of Greater Harrisburg.
“We had a couple hundred people here and we had a great conversation,” Fetterman said Monday night. “We had some people who were pro, we had some people who were against, and we had some people who were in the middle.”
Fetterman will travel to all 67 counties in the state to listen to residents’ thoughts. It’s unclear when he will make his way into Butler County.
Last year, both Fetterman and Governor Tom Wolf said it was time for Pennsylvania to take a serious and honest look at legalizing recreation marijuana.
Medical marijuana has been legal in the state for three years.
