A Lyndora man has been charged for allegedly firing a gun during an incident in Butler Township earlier this week.
According to a criminal complaint filed by Butler Township Police, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Division Street just before 9 p.m. Monday for reports of shots fired and screaming.
Police found bullet holes in the side of a residence and set up a perimeter. The resident was determined to be 33-year-old Breven Smith who was detained after he exited the residence.
A search of the residence revealed spent rifle casings on the living room floor, five bullet holes in the ceilings and walls, and an AR-15 with no serial number and additional rounds in the chamber and magazine. Multiple residences are close to that area including one 20 feet away.
Smith has been charged with misdemeanor reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He will be back in court for a preliminary hearing next week.
