A Lyndora woman has been charged following an incident with police last weekend.
According to a criminal complaint filed by State Police, a trooper was dispatched to a bar on Spithaler School Road in Forward Township on Saturday shortly before 2 p.m.
The trooper learned that an intoxicated woman had thrown a beer at a bartender and then left the scene. Two troopers were able to track the license plate of the vehicle to the residence of 56-year-old Karen Christy in Lyndora.
Christy allegedly began screaming curse words at the troopers and ignored direction to step back. When Christy was within two feet of troopers, she allegedly raised her fist. As troopers attempted to place Christy under arrest, she allegedly dug her nails into one trooper’s hand and spit into the mouth of the other trooper.
Christy faces charges including felony Aggravated Assault.
