A local woman is facing federal charges in connection with her job delivering mail.
According to a release from the U.S. Department of Justice, 44-year-old Kelly Randolph of Butler has been indicted by a federal grand jury for violating postal laws.
The indictment alleges that while working as a rural carrier out of the Chicora Post Office in April, Randolph allegedly removed cash from an envelope for her own personal use.
Randolph is facing up to five years in prison if convicted as well as a possible fine of $250,000.
