The deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot is happening soon.
The last day to apply for a ballot by mail is Tuesday.
Secretary of State Leigh Chapman says if you do request a ballot this late in the process you have a couple of options in order to return it on time.
“You can return the mail-in ballot in-person to your county elections office or you can place it into a United States Postal Service mail box,” Chapman said. “However, it’s important to note that their ballot must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day. Postmarked by that time do not count.”
Butler County officials estimate that more than 10,000 residents have requested a mail-in ballot.
