After being canceled last year, organizers are excited to bring back today’s Memorial Day parade.
Traffic on Main Street will be shut down at 10 a.m. with the parade to starting around 10:30 a.m.
Director of Butler County Veteran Services Jon Cyprian says like in 2019, the parade will be going from north to south on Main Street.
“It’ll go from Penn Street and Main Street to the courthouse. And then after the courthouse, we’ll have a ceremony in Diamond Park, which reflects what Memorial Day is all about,” Cyprian said.
Cyprian also added that high school bands are not participating this year, but there will be first responders, veteran groups, and the horse drawn buggy.
All of the parade is open to the public.
