A stretch of the Pennsylvania Turnpike has been reopened following a violent tractor trailer crash Thursday morning.
The accident happened around 5:45 a.m. near mile marker 20—which is in between the Cranberry and Beaver Valley exits.
Dispatchers say the accident involved at least two tractor trailers. A tanker truck ended up landing on the median resulting in hazmat crews being called the scene.
Photos from the accident also show heavy damage to one side of a tractor trailer with debris scattered over the highway.
The Turnpike was shut down immediately and stayed closed until around 2:30 p.m. when crews were able to clear the scene.
