The author of a book about Moraine State Park will highlight a two hour event about the creation of the local landmark later this week.
Polly Shaw, who authored “Images of Modern America Moraine State Park,” will share images and insights of life in the Muddy Creek Basin as the oil and coal industries closed. The local land transition between the 1940’s and the park’s opening in 1970 will also be discussed.
Tuesday’s event will be held from 1pm to 3pm at the State Parks Region 2 Office Conference Room, located on Park Road in Prospect.
