A man is in the Butler County Prison following a violent fight with police during his attempted arrest.
According to a criminal complaint, the incident began early Saturday morning when 34-year-old Andrea Lucky of Butler allegedly hit and attempted to strangle his girlfriend and her teenage son.
Lucky then fled the home on East Brady Street, before returning later that day to confront his girlfriend.
When police arrived, Lucky resisted arrest, before officers were able to take him to the ground, placing handcuffs on him.
Lucky then tried to grab an officer’s weapon while he was being taken to the patrol car. He also bit an officer on the arm, and proceeded to head butt another officer.
When police were finally able to put him in the patrol car—Lucky was able to get his hands on the barrel of an AR-15 rifle, however he was quickly restrained by officers.
He is facing numerous felony charges.
