A Slippery Rock man is in jail accused of strangling a former girlfriend.
Harold McGhee, 55, is alleged to have attacked the victim on Sunday night outside North Country Brewing in Slippery Rock.
The victim told police she was leaving the brewery when she saw McGhee, who she described as her ex-boyfriend. She said he started running toward her- eventually grabbing her by the neck and slamming her head into a wooden post. He then allegedly began to strangle her.
The victim told police she believes she passed out following the alleged assault.
McGhee remains in jail on $100,000 bail. He’s due in court next week for a preliminary hearing.
