A Millerstown man was taken into police custody after hitting a police officer at a local store.
State police say they received a call about a man being belligerent at a Dollar General in Parker Township this past Sunday afternoon.
When police arrived they found 30-year-old Curtis Benson, who allegedly threatened to kill and attempted to assault a Dollar General employee with a piece of metal shaving. Police say he also broke a window at a nearby home.
Benson then tried to hit an officer with a piece of steel, before eventually punching one trooper in the nose.
He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault among other charges.
