A Butler man was taken to jail after he allegedly hit a police officer.
Butler Township Police say they were called to an apartment at the Forest Heights complex just off of Route 8 South around 2:30 a.m. last Friday.
When they arrived they found 24-year-old Nicholas Gentry who was involved in a domestic dispute with another woman and child, who were leaving the apartment.
When police attempted to place Gentry under arrest, he resisted and hit an officer with an elbow.
