A Butler man has been charged with a first-degree felony after breaking into the home of a former girlfriend and attacking them and their children.
Butler City Police were called to a home on the 200 block of Highland Avenue for a man attempting to break into a home.
The alleged intruder was identified by police as 43-year-old Brian Epright. After police were called he left the property and was picked up just off Highland Avenue and taken into custody.
Epright allegedly broke into the home and damaged several items in the home, attacked his former partner and a child.
The investigation also found that the victim currently has an active PFA against Epright.
Epright is facing several charges and has been placed in the Butler County Prison on a $100,000 bond.
