A Butler man is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a child at the Butler Farm Show.
Police were called to the Butler Farm Show Grounds last Friday after bystanders allege a man struck and pushed a 3-year-old to the ground.
The witness alleged that 45-year-old Gary Fend Jr., hit the child twice then shoved them into a stroller.
When officers arrived, they discovered red marks on the child.
Fend Jr. has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, and harassment. Fend is currently out on bond and a PFA has been filed against him the hearing will be held later this month.
