A Butler man is facing charges after allegedly hitting a dog and a man.
Police were called to the 100 block of Kaufman Drive in the City of Butler in late November for a report of a man assaulted on the ground.
When police contacted the caller, who witnessed the fight, they claimed that 53-year-old Gregory Stepp struck another man.
Another witness on the scene accused Stepp of kicking the other man’s dog. When police talked to Stepp he admitted to hitting the other man.
A few days after the fight police spoke again with the victim who had a broken jaw according to medical records.
Stepp has been charged with felony one assault and disorderly conduct engage in fighting. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $15,000 bail and has a preliminary hearing Dec. 23.
