No one was injured after a man allegedly set fire to the Governor’s Mansion in Harrisburg.
The incident happened around 2 a.m. Sunday when a man climbed over the iron security fence, eluded police, and then set fire to the governor’s home.
State police were able to get Shapiro, his family, and guests who were staying at the mansion for Passover out of the house safely.
Police have charged 38-year-old Cody Balmer of Harrisburg with arson, attempted murder, and more.
Shapiro says he is thankful for the first responders and will continue to do his job.
