Authorities are investigating a recent cause of fraud that has impacted a business in nearby Lawrence County.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, 42-year-old Albert Farinelli of Enon Valley is accused of writing and forging checks to himself from his employer’s checkbook. Officials say that this happened over several months, starting in August 2019 and continuing through early March.
Police say that the Wampum based business lost approximately $5,600 from the forged checks.
It is unclear why the suspect allegedly committed these acts. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
