A Butler man has been placed in the Butler County Prison after being accused of sexually assaulting a minor and distributing child sexual abuse material.
Police charged 33-year-old Nathan Cornetti for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old child and then sharing the abuse material.
The alleged assault happened in May of this year when Cornetti invited the victim to his home. The victim told police that while the two were together, Cornetti attempted to engage in sexual activity but was told no several times and was pushed away.
The victim says Cornetti became more aggressive and the victim feared he would become violent if she continued to refuse.
After the assaults happened, Cornetti allegedly shared a video of it.
He’s been charged with rape, statutory sexual assault, dissemination of child sexual abuse, and several similarly related charges. He’s being held in the Butler County Prison on $50,000.
