One person died and another was sent to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Armstrong County Tuesday morning.
Shortly before 6:30 a.m. state police were called to State Route 156 in South Bend Township for a two-vehicle crash.
Police say a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Nicholas Difilippo of Spring Church was driving eastbound when for unknown reasons he crossed over into the westbound lane.
He then collided head-on into a tri-axle truck driven by 23-year-old Jacob Eggie of Wilmore.
Difilippo Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene. Eggie suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Route 156 was shut down in both directions to allow crews to clear the scene and investigate.
