The charge of attempted homicide was dropped after a Butler man pled guilty to lesser charges and was sentenced yesterday.
In October of last year, officers were called to Father Marinaro Park for a conflict that began as a minor vehicle crash and led to gun shots.
According to charging documents, 43-year-old Michael Miranda and 19-year-old Joseph Miranda were seen on camera threatening the victims with a shotgun and knife. No injuries were reported from the incident.
On Tuesday, Michael pled guilty to four counts of aggravated assault and the charge of criminal attempted homicide was dropped.
He was sentenced to 11 to 22 months in prison with 62 months of probation. Michael also received just over 7.5 months of time served and will be eligible for parole in October.
Michael will also have to pay $4,360 in fines, fees, restitution, and the cost of prosecution.
Joseph is still awaiting a trial for his charges.
