A man who threated to beat a woman and burn down a home has been sentenced after pleading guilty yesterday.
34-year-old Carlos Maldonado Fuentes has pled guilty to simple assault and evading arrest or detention on foot. Maldonado Fuentes will serve 15-27 months and will serve 25 hours community service after his confinement.
In March of 2024 Butler City Police were called to the 500 block of West Wayne Street for Maldonado Fuentes who threated to behind a woman and burn down a home. After police were called Maldonado Fuentes fled the area but was eventually discovered by police on the 500 block of Virginia Ave.
Once released Maldonado Fuentes will be placed on probation and must attend counseling.
