A medical helicopter transported a man for treatment of a serious head injury following an accident involving a tree late Tuesday morning.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center just before noon for a man who was stuck in the head by a tree he was cutting down on Verndale Drive just off Herman Road.
When crews from Herman and East Butler EMS arrived, they found a 72-year-old man lying in the yard with an indentation in his skull. He was also vomiting while having difficulty hearing and seeing.
A Life Flight helicopter was called to land at the Herman Fire Station. The man’s condition is unknown at this time.
