Margaret Louise Schoenfeld, 86, of Butler died peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2017 surrounded by family.
Born June 22, 1931, in Harrisburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gideon and Esther Feeser.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Schoenfeld, and three sisters, June Cassell, Pearl Witmer and Martha Basehore. She leaves behind two brothers, Earl (Nancy) Feeser and Lloyd Feeser, her sister, Fern Carberry, and her brother-in-law Deem (Carol) Schoenfeld.
Margaret was the beloved mother of two sons, Mark Schoenfeld and David Schoenfeld, two daughters, Judy Baudoux, and Beth (Roger) Whisler; six grandchildren, Samuel (Laura) Baudoux, Maura (Thomas) Wilson, Lindsay (Stephen) Chiou, Carly (Eric) Grenci, Alex (Mallory) Whisler, and Jed Whisler; and five great grandchildren, Kaia and Tommy Wilson, Victoria Baudoux, Nico Grenci, and Logan Chiou.
Margaret taught third grade for twenty-five years in the Butler Area School District. Upon retirement, she volunteered her time as a tipstaff at the Butler Court House and Meals on Wheels.
Margaret enjoyed sports – especially watching the Pittsburgh Pirates. She was an avid golfer who loved her circle of golf friends.
Marg had an adventurous spirit throughout her life. She loved traveling and cruises, vacations at the beach, winters in Fort Myers, and weekends at camp with her family and friends.
Margaret was a selfless person of Protestant faith, known for her generosity and kindness. Everyone who knew her would agree that she was a wonderful mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend. Margaret’s graciousness, strength and spirit will be missed dearly.

Visitation will be held at the Young Funeral Home, Butler, on Tuesday, September 26th from 4 PM until the time of the service at 5 PM.
