Margaret “Marge” A. Barnes, 88, of Butler passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at her residence at St. Barnabas, Arbors 3 in Gibsonia.
She was born October 17, 1932 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of the late Ovid Dubey and Lillian (Russow) Dubey Wert.
Marge attended BC3 for accounting and had worked at Allis Chalmers. After her marriage in 1958, she became a homemaker. Marge had many hobbies: tennis, bowling, skiing, gardening, canning and collecting antiques. She also enjoyed playing cards, Cribbage and Wii. She had belonged to the Penn Township Women’s Club, many bridge clubs and bowling leagues.
Surviving are her children and their spouses, Bruce (Barbara) Barnes of Butler, Brett (Christine) Barnes of Saline, MI, Brigette (Mike) Tollstrup of Elk Grove, CA, and Beth (Donnie) Hudspeth of Hico, WV; her grandchildren, Diane Barnes, Melissa (Seth) Janes, Brittany (Curt) Pleegor, Brooke Barnes, Sara Tollstrup, Travis Tollstrup, Jessie Hudspeth and Ashton Hudspeth; and great grandchildren, Nolan Pfleegor, Elliot Janes and Melanie Pfleegor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce M Barnes whom she married March 8, 1958 and who passed away July 4, 2002, a grandson, Alan Barnes (December 2007) and her siblings, Duane Dubey and Mary Ellen Erickson. Her enduring happiness and love will be missed by her family and many friends.
Visitation will be held at the Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 1 PM until the time of the memorial service at 3 PM.
