Margaret “Peg” L. Bell, 93, of Butler, PA, passed away peacefully on July 03, 2023 at Concordia at the Orchard in Butler, PA.
Born on April 16, 1930, in Chicora, PA, to the late Joseph McKenzie and the late Mildred F. (Campbell) McKenzie.
She was the cherished wife of the late Dean LeRoy Bell, whom she married on July 26, 1958, and who passed away on October 22, 2006.
Peg was a devoted registered nurse at Butler Memorial Hospital from 1951-1959. She served her patients with compassion and care, a testament to her caring nature. In her later years, she dedicated her time to the wellbeing of her family as a homemaker, a role she cherished deeply.
Peg was a woman of strong faith, having been a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church for 50 years and later a member of the Cornerstone Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Boardman, OH. She also attended Westminster Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Butler, PA, where she found great comfort and community.
Peg is survived by her loving children, Jeff Bell of Eagle, ID Doug (Mickey) Bell of Emlenton, PA, Rev. Mark (Claudia) Bell of Poland, OH, and Cindy (Bill) Sheppeck of Butler, PA. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Amanda (Timothy) Corace, Joshua (Melissa) Sheppeck, Caleb Sheppeck, Elizabeth Bell, Phillip (Katie) Bell, Joanna Bell, Rebekah Bell, and Devynn Bell. two great grandchildren, McKenzie Corace and Jack Bell and also several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her dear infant granddaughter, Miriam Bell, and her beloved sister, Rosemary Callihan and also her brother William McKenzie.
Per her wishes, there will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church (PCA ), 420 North Main Street Butler, PA 16001 with her son Rev. Mark Bell and Rev. Dennis Molnar, officiating.
A private interment will take place at North Washington Union Cemetery in North Washington, PA
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone Presbyterian Church (PCA), 471 Matthews Road, Boardman, OH 44512.
