Marie Louise Jurysta Hudek, age 76, of Butler, passed away Sat., Dec. 4, 2021, at her residence.
Born in Butler on Aug. 26, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Myrtle Lenhart Jurysta.
Marie, who had a passion for food, was the owner/operator of two former Butler restaurants, The Bagel Hut and City Subs. She earned her certification in Hospitality Management from Butler County Community College.
She was a member of All Saints Parish, Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church.
She belonged to the former Downtown Business Association. She also was a member of the Associated Artists of Butler County, and she was a longtime active member of the Tanglewood Center and Saint Paul Guild and Christian Mothers.
Marie is survived by one daughter, Dhana LeFevre, of Butler; two grandchildren, Chloe Mellinger, of Butler, and Michael LeFevre, of Butler; two sisters, Delores Fetterman, of Butler, and Helen Jurysta, of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Jurysta, and three sisters, Debra Moore and twins Joyce Rich and Judy Isaac.
Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Ave., Butler, on Sat., Dec. 11, from 10 a.m. – Noon.
A Blessing Service will follow at noon at the funeral home, with Deacon Mitch Natali officiating.
Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Tanglewood Center, 10 Austin Ave., Lyndora, PA 16045.
