Marilyn Ion

Marilyn Ion, 67, of Butler passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021. She was born on September 17, 1954 in Mansfield, OH to the late James and Jean (Shaw) June. Marilyn worked as a school bus driver for almost 20 years. She enjoyed racing corvettes, her dogs Ziggy and the late Max, and spending time with her family and friends; and was known for her selflessness and her giving heart. Marilyn was the beloved mother of Jerry Bodish and Kristoffer (Blace Shaffer) Ion; sister of Patricia (Nick) Oprea and Beverly Greenert; grandmother of Jerry Jr., Ronald, Anthony, Carson, and Fallon; aunt of KB. She is also survived by a loving family. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved grandson Dakota and her sister Susan Sutton.
