Butler County is now seeking bids for the Marion Township sewer project.
After securing additional state funding last month that will entirely cover the nearly $5 million project, officials are getting ready for the project to begin.
The yesterday’s public meeting, county commissioners approved a bid request for the entire project, along with bids for 87 grinder pumps.
They will also hire a project manager and inspectors for the work—they are funding that with Community Development Block Grants.
County commissioners are eager to see the project begin and are hopeful to have the new sewer system installed by the end of next year.
