The Mars Area School Board is changing a sign along a busy highway to show appreciation for a generous donor.
At their Tuesday night meeting, board members approved a motion to place signage on both sides of the Mars Area High School marquee following a donation of $20,000 by LEFCON LLC.
The district will use the money from this donation to support instructional technology for Mars students.
The signage along Route 228 is expected to remain in place for about a year until ongoing PennDOT construction results in the removal of the marquee.
