A tentative agreement is in place between the Mars Area School District and the teachers union, which avoids a strike that was scheduled to start tomorrow.
The school board and education association released a joint statement last night saying the two sides “appreciate the shared spirit of mutual respect and professionalism during the negotiation.”
Details of the contract weren’t immediately available.
Both parties are still finalizing the agreement.
