Mars Area School District is looking for local businesses interested in purchasing advertising on scoreboards.
The first scoreboard is located at the Mars Athletic Complex which the district uses to hold a variety of sporting events such as football and track and field. The non-profit Mars Planet Foundation is offering one 51 inch by 31 inch ad at a cost of $3,000 per year as well as two 72 inch by 30 inch ads at a cost of $5,000 per year with additional recognition as “Sponsor of the Game”. Proceeds will go to develop, promote, and finance educational programs, activities, and projects for Mars students.
The other scoreboard is located at LEFCON Field which hosts numerous district and youth sporting events including soccer and lacrosse. The Mars Area School District has three 64 inch by 18 inch ads at a cost of $3,000 per year for one year or $2,500 per year for three years. The scoreboard along with a new Press Box will be in place at LEFCON Field before the beginning of the next school year this fall.
