Elementary students and families in the Mars Area School District are invited to participate in an at-home contest this week.
The Family Hockey Puck Upcycle Challenge encourages families to transform a normal hockey puck into a work of art, a toy, a game, or a practical household item.
Donations of hockey pucks are being accepted and anyone who needs a puck can pick one up at the Mars Elementary’s Art of STEAM rooms.
Contest entries can be turned in this week before all submissions will be displayed for vote at the Steel City Showcase from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
