Students at a local school are collecting non-perishable food items to benefit neighbors in need.
A local Girl Scout Troop is holding the collection this upcoming week at Mars Area Primary Center, Centennial, and Elementary Schools.
Items to be collected include canned coffee, oatmeal, fruit bars, canned chicken, peanut butter, beef soup, applesauce, canned fruit, mayonnaise, and ketchup.
Donations can be dropped off at the school’s main office during school hours through Friday.
