A familiar face will be taking over as the interim principal of Mars Area Primary Center for the remainder of the current school year.
Current Mars Area Centennial School Principal Adam Kostewicz will continue in that position while also taking over at the Primary Center.
Before being named to his current position in 2015, Kostewicz spent a year as the principal of the Mars Area Primary Center. His familiarity with students, staff, and operations factored into the School Board’s decision.
Assistant Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth McMahon had been overseeing daily operations at the Primary Center since 2018. The board will continue to search for a full-time candidate to fill this position in the future.
