There’s still time for residents to join with a group of Mars students to support local cancer patients.
The Mars Area Middle School Spirit Club is holding a competition to benefit the Hang Tough: Stockings Stuffed with Love and Care project.
Each Homeroom has one stocking to stuff with a minimum of eight items and will receive an additional stocking once each one has been filled. The homeroom with the most stockings filled will receive a breakfast snack.
Stocking stuffers can include hygiene items, snack foods, games, new winter clothing, stationary, beverages, and gift cards. A complete list of suggested items in available through the Hang Tough Stockings website
This competition continues through November 15th with donations presented to patients during the holiday season.
